About the volunteering opportunity
In our family center you can read picture books or suitable stories to children aged 2-6 years in a cozy atmosphere.
Your Tasks
Following the reading, activities can be derived and carried out with the children, e.g.
- In the book, mice climb on a currant bush - the children then plant a small currant bush in the garden
- The children in a story bake a cake - afterwards a cake can be baked and eaten together... etc.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Age: (at least) 18 years
- extended certificate of good conduct required

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
