About the volunteering opportunity

The Zoo train station in Berlin's Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district has been a place of contrasts for decades. Here, the gap between rich and poor is particularly perceptible. But the Bahnhofsmission am Zoo is also a symbol of warm-heartedness and charity. It is a contact point for several hundred homeless people every day.

Your Tasks

Activities:  You give tours and workshops on the topic of "Poverty and Homelessness".  After coaching and a certain training period, you carry those out independently or in a team.

What we want: It would be advantageous if you already have experience in the educational context. You are eloquent and can engage well with school groups. Perhaps you have even already gained experience working in a station mission or in the cold aid. Most importantly: The topic of poverty and homelessness is close to your heart and you would like to bring this closer to young people.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.

Requirements: For this volunteering position you must be at least 18 years old. In addition, very good German language skills are necessary. Because it is an volunteering position with great responsibility, an extended certificate of good conduct is required. There are no costs for this. In addition, measles vaccination is required.

Spiritual profile: You are convinced that every human being is given an inalienable dignity. You are respectful towards the Christian faith, as well as other religions and worldviews.
