What is, if by a heavy illness the life time ends unexpectedly early and there is still a special desire to be fulfilled? For relatives or friends it is often not easy to make this wish come true. Here the Wünschewagen of the workers Samaritan federation helps Germany.

The Wünschewagen fulfills humans in their last life phase a special heart desire and drives them once again to there favourite place. The desired destination is left to our passengers: whether it is a last vacation at the seaside, participation in a family celebration, a visit to a concert or soccer match.

We take over the planning, organization and implementation and let last wishes come true. Would you like to support us in this?

Your Tasks

Voluntary accompaniment of passengers of the Wünschewagen Saxony on wish trips within Saxony and beyond. A medical and nursing professional background is required to accompany the passengers. The passengers come from all over the state, volunteers from all over Saxony are sought for this purpose.

What's needed

You need to bring mandatory expertise in the medical and nursing field, for example, as a paramedic, emergency paramedic, doctor or nurse. Ideally, you also have a C1 driving license with driving experience.

Time required

The times are flexibly agreed upon as needed and are dependent on the desired trips to be carried out.

Dare last wishes - this has been made possible by the ASB Wünschewagen in Saxony since 2016. Our volunteer-run project, financed exclusively by donations, fulfills a special wish of the heart for people of all ages who do not have much time left to live, and drives them together with their families or friends once again to their place of longing.
