About the volunteering opportunity

Our family center Weit.Blick in Berlin-Lichtenberg includes various offers of family education and support, a kindergarten and a church.
A language café as well as individual language support are also part of the offers. People who want to learn German are supported here. The language café is a place of encounter, togetherness and exchange. Participants learn the German language in a playful way

Your Tasks

Activity: You carry out the language café offer together with another volunteer. If you like, you prepare materials. Or you use those that the main volunteers provide you. You are in close contact with the members of the full-time and voluntary team. You guide the participants in learning the German language. This ranges from free design, speaking on the basis of everyday topics, playful German learning to grammar units - always oriented to the interests of the group. In addition, you support people individually in learning the German language, for example, parallel to their language course and help with the exercises.

It is also desirable that you also provide for the framework of the language café by providing coffee and simple catering as an inviting host. In this way, you prepare the café room together as a team and also clean up again afterwards.
