About the volunteering opportunity
The drought is a real challenge for our seedlings at the Rieselfelder site in Bucher Forst. There is little protection from older trees, the soil is dry and stores rainfall poorly, and there is competition for water from grass and weeds. That's why we want to support the growth of the plantations there through stock maintenance activities.
We meet at the "Steine ohne Grenzen" parking lot. As we often travel from there to other planting areas (approx. 5-10 minutes), a bicycle is highly recommended.

Watering and maintenance (weeding).
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
What to bring
- A bicycle is highly recommended, as we also ride to other planting sites from there and it is only 10 minutes by bike from Buch S-Bahn station to the meeting point.
- There are no catering facilities on site: Pack enough water and food
- Sturdy shoes and long pants are advisable (because of ticks and undergrowth)
- DON'T FORGET: Anti-mosquito spray and sun protection
- Note for allergy sufferers: there are wasps on site
- Your own watering can and gloves are always welcome
- Children are welcome
- Please keep dogs on a leash at all times
