Support in food distribution for homeless people

The Gast-Haus is a meeting place with a welcoming guest room, where you should feel comfortable as a guest, who usually lives under very difficult conditions on the fringes of society. We offer each guest our hospitality , our advice and our help in a humane atmosphere . 

We need support especially in our daily food distribution, where it is important to meet the guests at eye level and to be able to give a smile.

What's needed

The guest house was created through volunteerism and can only create a dignified place for people in need of help through its many volunteers. Everyone who wants to help is welcome and can contribute with their possibilities and abilities.

The Guest House is an initiative that wants to create hospitable space in Dortmund for homeless and needy people, from which they are not expelled, but rather welcome.

Our primary goal is to meet our guests, who often have to live under very difficult conditions, in a way that corresponds to their dignity and respects them. 

We provide our guests with a good breakfast, a hot lunch, a shower and fresh clothes. In addition, we offer an in-house medical practice as well as counseling services in the social and legal fields.
