About the volunteering opportunity
What is this commitment about?
There are things at home that are lying in the basement or in our closets and are actually no longer used. At the same time, there are a lot of social organizations and initiatives that are enormously happy about donations in kind of very different categories. From books to textiles to electronics or toys - depending on the area in which they are active and what is needed for their work.
To clean out things at home and make other people happy is a win-win situation.

What are 5-Minute Commitments?
With our 5-Minute Commitments, we want to inspire you to easily integrate volunteering into your everyday life. They are independent of non-profit organizations and allow you to individually get involved for people and nature in your neighborhood.
Your Tasks
Check out the various in-kind donation requests from social organizations on our in-kind donation page and see if you can find something suitable. Once you have found an in-kind donation that is needed and that you actually have at your home, you can contact the organization. Depending on the item, you can bring the donation in person or mail it to the organization.
In our blog you will also find an overview with tips and places for meaningful donations in kind.

We are a social enterprise from Berlin with a big dream: We want a world in which everyone contributes to a better and more sustainable future according to their possibilities and regardless of time budget, language or previous knowledge. For this purpose, we gather on vostel.de numerous engagement offers from non-profit organizations that are looking for volunteers. By doing this, we show concrete possibilities for action in order to become socially active and would like to motivate above all the younger generations to get involved for a better world.
