About the volunteering opportunity

More and more emergency stations are closing their doors, which makes it all the more important to keep those that still exist alive. However, this is only possible with your help and support!

The guinea pig rescue centre "NotMeeries-Irenensee" in 31311 Uetze is still looking for volunteers from the immediate vicinity. As a great helper now lives 300km away due to a move, I would like to offer other animal movers a great opportunity to help independently and responsibly after training, to look after the animals and the surrounding area.

It would be great if you were a little flexible, had animal experience, could act independently and think for yourself and, above all, I need to be able to rely on your help and presence.

As I mainly keep animals outdoors, cold weather should not be a reason not to want to help, they can always be warmed up ☺️.

Here, 30-40 guinea pigs await you.... 😃

I look forward to seeing you!

Your Tasks

  • sweep the individual enclosures and provide with fresh bedding.
  • feed the animals
  • perhaps: fetch food from the supporting supermarkets, unpack and sort into the shelves.
  • as needed trips to the vet
  • f you are interested, you can also take care of administrative tasks such as maintaining the homepage, taking photos of the animals, posting the animals on the website, etc.
  • if sufficient knowledge and confidence is available administration of medicines
  • and of course pamper the guinea pigs and spoil them with treats.
