The elementary school years are over and the child has made it to high school - now an exciting time begins! Everything is new: the school, the class, the academic challenges. Especially children whose parents are not familiar with the German education system need your support. Because sometimes it only takes a tiny spark to unleash potential in young people.

Your Tasks

Can you imagine supporting a child in the 5th or 6th grade as a volunteer learning and leisure companion? The child for a year, once a week for two to three hours to give your time? Then become FunkenSprüher!

The children at our two cooperation high schools in Stuttgart-West and Stuttgart-Möhringen are registered with us on the recommendation of the teachers with the consent of the parents. They are very much looking forward to the time together.

What's needed

• You enjoy doing something with a child on a regular basis.
• You have the time to be a mentor for at least one school year.
• You have 2-3 hours a week in the afternoon (excluding vacations) to spend with a child.
• You would like to support a child in school and through meaningful leisure activities.
• You are open for new things, for example for other cultures and ways of life.
• You are reliable, responsible and able to deal with conflicts

Time required

You meet weekly on felxible dates with the child for at least a year.
