About the volunteering opportunity
The presbytery leads and administers the congregation. It makes decisions, for example, about the focus of the congregation's work, the order of worship, the distribution of funds, the hiring of employees, or the election of the pastor. Each presbytery elects a chairperson from among its members and contact persons for certain tasks in the congregation, such as youth work, building matters or finances.
The presbytery is elected every four years. The next election will take place on February 18, 2024. All parishioners who have been confirmed can vote; anyone who is at least 18 years old can be elected. In addition to parishioners, employees of the parish are also elected to the presbytery. The pastors also belong to the presbytery.
Your Tasks
Lead the church congregation in a community. Initiate and accompany projects in the church community. Bringing in new ideas.
What's needed
Parishioners of our parish who are at least 18 years old can be elected.
Time required
In addition to one presbytery meeting per month with about 2-3 hours, there is also the cooperation in at least one committee of our presbytery. These usually meet 4 times a year. Regular participation as a presbyter in church services of the congregation.

We are a regional Protestant parish in Hilden. Our parish covers the entire urban area of the city of Hilden. We are in addition to the children and youth work, also active for the pastoral care of members and church services, official acts (baptism, confirmation, wedding, funeral, etc.), as well as the promotion of music with various ensembles.
