About the volunteering opportunity

We are now seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator, who can support RealtimeAid’s grow its impact on its projects which are aligned towards localisation.

The work and story of RealtimeAid are very compelling and marketable, combined with our team and voluntary support; there is the potential to be a fantastic success.  This is a three in one role - the primary role of this post is to increase online- visibility and funding. 

You’ll work depending on your time commitment on all aspects of marketing and communications, including: planning; design, advertising; promotion; public/social-/media relations and development. This role requires a motivated and organised (IT-savvy) person who can identify the key messages and channels that will connect with our audiences. You will need a broad understanding, experience and skills of marketing

It’s your job to deliver workable ideas to automatise workflows and then turn it into a reality.

Your Tasks

Depending on time/commitment, here are a few things we would love to have covererd

  • Support in the development and implementation of the communication strategy
  • Develop a social media strategy that should include to:
    • Analysis and evaluation of social media channels
    • Interview team members and create blogs 
    • Regular scheduled Posts and (realistic - Volunteer based) Goals 
    • database of media contacts
  • Conceptualize, design, and post content for our social media channels
  • Presentation work on content for company presentations, product brochures, newsletters and other publications

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.

  • Preferred: Experience with an educational background in marketing and communications experience in setting up and implementing a marketing/communications strategy for a profit/non-profit entity 
  • Understanding of sport for peace, localisation and development and/or the Middle East context
  • Experience with working in multi-cultural teams
  • Experience with working with Adobe Suite , Photoshop and InDesign
  • Essential: Hands on, motivated and full of ideas Excellent writing and editing skills: 
  • English (fluent) / German/ Arabic (desirable, but not a must) 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Proven experience of managing social media accounts (Facebook, Insta, Twitter) 
  • Strong self-management and time-management skills Strong experience in communicating in a fast paced environment

Time required

Project-based
On weekends, at night

Supporting us from afar is perfectly fine.
