You are a culture enthusiast and interested in accompanying other culture enthusiasts who need help to events? Become a culture partner!

We will establish contact between you and your future culture partner and then you can decide independently whether you would like to go to the theater, cinema, a book reading or another event.

Your Tasks

Your task will be to accompany the person who needs support to cultural events of your choice. If needed, it may be necessary to accompany on the way. 

What's needed

The required language skills entirely depend on the person taking on the cultural partnership. In most cases, however, at least an intermediate knowledge of German is required.

Time required

The times can be arranged individually.

Visiting the events with your culture partner will be free of charge through a cooperation with KulturLeben Berlin.

The citizens' meeting place "Gemeinsam im Kiez leben" is an institution of the Cooperative Mensch eG and an inclusive meeting place in Alt-Hohenschönhausen. Since October 2018, the citizens' meeting place has been sponsored by the district of Lichtenberg. As a social meeting place, it is dedicated to the elimination of barriers and the local implementation of the UN Disability Rights Convention. We want to promote inclusion in the neighbourhood. We have various open and inclusive offers in the Bürgertreff and in the Kiez. We have a large network in Lichtenberg and various cooperation partners, such as an inclusive boccia club. We also arrange cultural sponsorships between people with disabilities and/or low income and people interested in culture.
