About the volunteering opportunity
The DRK clothing store has existed for over 20 years in Walter-Flex-Weg 12 and provides people in need with clothing from head to toe, household goods, decorative materials and everything for the kitchen.
From people without shelter to people with refugee experience to job seekers and pensioners, the clientele in the clothing store is broadly mixed. The selected things must also be paid for in order to cover expenses like electricity and heating. The people do their "shopping" here and thus have a better self-esteem.
Your Tasks
We need assistance in sorting donated clothing, distributing it to the appropriate departments, maintaining the grounds, and performing minor repair work.
What's needed
Whoever wants to help, is partly flexible in terms of time and is also nice and can work in a team, is very welcome!
Time required
The DRK Clothes Closet at Walter-Flex-Weg 12 needs support Monday to Friday between 10 am - 2:30 pm.
You don't have to take over the 5 hours every day, but maybe one day a week or just come by for 2 hours. Regularity is important to us, so that we do not have to train new people again and again.

We as a welfare organisation operate a clothing store in Wolfsburg, regularly carry out blood donations and have Lower Saxony's first therapy dog team group.
