Language café for migrants and refugees

Learning a new language is always associated with some difficulties. Especially when someone has had to flee their country of origin for various reasons.

Target group: Young people with refugee background or a migration background who want to improve their German language skills in a relaxed atmosphere.

Goal: Arrive, be understood, feel at home

Activities: What starts in the language café doesn't stop at speaking German! The regular meetings have led to friendships and many joint activities: Manfred's hiking friends go out regularly, we go to the theater together or to the Jungbusch. We celebrate Christmas together and break the Ramadan fast together. We share customs, recipes and stories - diversity is our strength.

Are you interested in cultural exchange and would like to actively support young migrants in learning German? Do you want to become active in these areas, get new ideas, get to know like-minded young people and have fun in the process? Then join us!

YOUR TASKS

The language café is an open offer to all young people who are currently learning German, want to improve their everyday German or want to get in touch with different people from different cultures.

We would like to develop the language café together with you and give you the opportunity to contribute your ideas and try your hand at organizing and implementing individual events. Depending on how much time you have, you can take on smaller or larger tasks.

TIME REQUIRED

The language café takes place weekly on Wednesdays from 6 pm to approx. 7:30 pm.

You are welcome to attend every time, but that is not a must :). You can also join the project at any time. 

We always meet at Café Noi in C2, 16 - 18.
