About the volunteering opportunity
Cooperations with companies that offer students internships and apprenticeships are another important component of the ROCK YOUR LIFE! Program. In this way, we can offer students not only mentoring but also, in the best case scenario, concrete prospects for the future. By working together, companies gain access to motivated and determined employees - at the same time they assume social responsibility. In this way, they also make an effective contribution to greater educational equality and strengthen their company with valuable new employees. A win-win situation for pupils, students and companies. Each mentoring pair also takes part in three training sessions to prepare them optimally for their time together and to support them during this time. These trainings are conducted by professionally trained coaches. To fund our program, we are looking for new fundraisers!
Your Tasks
In the network team, you will ensure that our association is also financially secure! You recruit companies, collect donations and are in close contact with network partners. In addition to regularly filling out foundation applications and formulating donation requests, you will also be responsible for organizing exciting events. Once a year, we have to organize a summer party and a Christmas party, we also want to enable our mentees to visit companies, and larger events such as soccer tournaments with partner companies are also on our list.
What's needed
You should have no problems approaching strangers, be well organized and as well networked as possible.

ROCK YOUR LIFE! Köln e.V. wants to encourage pupils on their way to professional life and contribute to them finding out about their strengths and talents, so that they start living accordingly. Effective one-on-one mentoring Pupils from socially underprivileged conditions are accompanied by college students for two years. The students support and encourage the pupils as one-on-one mentors. Thus, the pupils are being empowered to unfold their individual potential and to achieve job or education related goals in a self-responsible and self-conscious way. Students and pupils also complete a professional qualification program.
