About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for drivers for our blood donation. Depending on your time capacity, you can support us with your driving activities. You would pick up the car at the agreed time in the district association (Barmbek) and load it if necessary. Depending on the time available, we have different trips and trip lengths. At the end of your journey, you will bring the car back to the district association.
Your Tasks
Your task can be limited to the driving activity, but if you want you can of course also participate in the respective action itself. We can also discuss this with you individually.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- You must have a class B driver's license registered in Germany with at least two years of driving experience.
- The minimum age for this honorary position is 18 years, and drivers may be a maximum of 75 years old.
- You will receive instruction on the vehicle and take a test drive.

Important: Assignments are by arrangement. The working hours are weekdays and mostly during the day between 08:00 - 17:00 (in exceptional cases also in the evening), whereby the duration of the assignments varies due to different destinations.
Important notice
Volunteers are insured during their work and on the way there and back. All expenses are compensated, but there is no remuneration for the time spent. Participation in festivals and further training is encouraged and there is a permanent contact person on site, as well as further connections to volunteer structures in the association.

We complement the voluntary work with varied offers such as first aid courses, local meeting places, our home emergency call and the newly founded second hand store. Our goal is to reach all people, to help people in need in an uncomplicated way and to create interesting offers for all generations. Maybe there is also something for you.
