About the volunteering opportunity

The social department store offers all people with a Frankfurt Pass, entitlement certificate or student ID the opportunity to buy inexpensive second-hand clothing, everyday items and small items of furniture. In addition, the store creates places of non-profit employment for long-term unemployed people. Through your commitment, you help people who have been unemployed for a long time to gain professional experience and find their way back into working life. But also the environment benefits from your cooperation, because clothes and co. are reused.

Your Tasks

You will have many opportunities to contribute your talents and interests, e.g. in creative store design, helping out in the sorting department or advising customers in the sales department. You can look forward to new encounters in the team and with customers, as well as getting to know new things (e.g. operating the cash register).

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
For the sale you are ideally open-minded, like to communicate and have fun with our assortment of goods. For the sorting of the goods you are willing be hands on, distinguish textiles and maybe even assemble furniture.
