Family sponsorship project "By your side"

The family sponsorship project supports families with children between the ages of 1 and 7.

The principles of family sponsorships are based on mutual appreciation, trust, reliability, and humanity. The families and volunteers experience and create a time together and they learn from and with each other. The families experience relief, support, get impulses for everyday family life and are strengthened in their own competencies.

Sometimes it takes someone who listens, who is a soul comforter and helps through a difficult time. Someone who is simply there. Depending on the family's needs, it can be conversations, a joint visit to the playground, cooking together ... For the children, it is wonderful to experience another caregiver who brings his or her own experiences and attention to the family. Thus, stress can be reduced and the mood in the family can be improved.
The meetings take place depending on the arrangement in the apartment of the respective family or also outside, e.g. playground, park ...

There are two options for family sponsors: short-term (3 - 6 months), e.g. if the family needs help over a certain period of time to bridge a difficult time. There is also the possibility of long-term accompaniment (over years). In this way, a cordial connection for life can be established, which can increase the size of one's own family.
The volunteers visit the families for about 3 to 4 hours per week. This can be arranged individually from week to week.

An Enhanced Certificate of Good Conduct is required.
