What is this commitment about? Eat regionally. Think globally. According to the motto, you can use seasonal and regional fruits and vegetables for your next recipe ideas. This can save long delivery routes from other countries and thus protect our environment.

What are 5-Minute Commitments? With our 5-Minute Engagements, we want to inspire you to easily integrate engagement into your everyday life. They are independent of non-profit organizations and allow you to individually engage for people and nature in your neighborhood.

Your Tasks

Seasonal fruit or vegetables not only taste better, but are also much more sustainable! So the next time you go shopping, make sure you know what fruits and vegetables are in season. To do this, you can easily check a seasonal calendar. You can see whether a product was grown regionally on the packaging or on the shelf in the supermarket. By the way, local markets are also a great place to buy seasonal and regional produce from local farmers.

This commitment requires a short investment of time by researching what is currently in season.

We are a social enterprise from Berlin with a big dream: We want a world in which everyone contributes to a better and more sustainable future according to their possibilities and regardless of time budget, language or previous knowledge. For this purpose, we gather on vostel.de numerous engagement offers from non-profit organizations that are looking for volunteers. By doing this, we show concrete possibilities for action in order to become socially active and would like to motivate above all the younger generations to get involved for a better world.
