Your Tasks
Possible care services include
- Accompaniment during visits, events, doctor's appointments, shopping
- Walks, excursions
- Listening to music, singing, making music
- Painting, handicrafts, reading, reading aloud
- Reminiscence work
- The care times depend on the needs of the person with dementia and their relatives and are arranged individually.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
A volunteer agreement is concluded to ensure that you are insured during your volunteer work. with the volunteer agreement, you can apply for a certificate of good conduct free of charge. As a volunteer, you will receive an expense allowance, BVG one-way tickets if required and a volunteer card for many events. As a volunteer, you can take part in a free volunteer training course, which also includes first aid training.
Time required
Who would like to provide company for elderly people suffering from dementia? The time for the assignment can be from 2 - 3 hours or several hours.
Important notice
The catchment area for your volunteer work is the whole of Lichtenberg.
If desired, you will receive a certificate for your volunteer work. This can look good on your CV for job applications.
