About the volunteering opportunity
The Schlange Senior Citizens' Meeting Center is currently looking for a dedicated piano player or guitarist who would like to lead our singing group with around 8 participants. Singing together is very important to us at the center and we are looking for a motivated person who can help our seniors express and share their love of music.
Your Tasks
- Leading the singing group and accompanying the participants on the piano or other instrument
- Selecting and composing appropriate songs for the group
- Promoting a positive and pleasant atmosphere while singing
- Facilitating communal singing and sharing
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Friendly and open-minded personality
- Enjoy working with senior citizens
- Ability to lead a group independently
- Musical experience, especially playing the piano or mastering another instrument
- Enthusiasm for music and the desire to share this joy with others
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day
The singing circle should take place once a week for approx. 1.5 hours.
