About the volunteering opportunity

We are looking for trainers and child carers who would like to join our Bike & Belong course for women with refugee and/or migration experiences.

Your Tasks

The childcare workers play with the children while their mothers learn how to ride a bike.

The trainers prepare a training session with the help of a training manual, are present at every course date (8x) if possible, and give the participants assistance with cycling.
In a course there are 10-12 participants and 8-10 trainers.

In addition, the volunteers are invited to participate in the social program (excursions, events, etc.).

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
You don't have to have any previous experience... we are happy if you are motivated and in a good mood!

Time required

Project-based
On weekdays, at night
Our course season runs from June to October. The courses last eight weeks and take place once a week for two hours, usually in the late afternoon (a total of 8x2 hours per course).

In the winter or in the remaining months, some of our side events (bike tours, workshops, etc.) also take place, to which you are cordially invited.

Contact us at any time and we will check together how we can involve you :)

Important notice

Before your engagement as a trainer you will take part in a preparation workshop.

Where?

Bike Bridge e.V.

We use cycling as a tool to create encounters between refugees, people with migration experience and the local population. We want to bring people together and strengthen togetherness.
