About the volunteering opportunity

Would you like to volunteer for people with a history of flight or migration?

In the pilot project NeuDaheim of the Malteser Integration Service, you can help refugees or migrants move into their "first" own apartment and answer questions about the Miet-1×1. Where can I find cheap furniture? How does garbage disposal work? Who do I contact in case of damage? How do I place a forwarding order with the post office? The transition from collective housing to the own apartment is often difficult and involves unknown tasks and costs. A self-determined start in a new apartment and neighborhood can be realized more easily with the support of volunteers.

Support, give chances, experience Frankfurt - through accompaniment at eye level.

Your Tasks

  • You meet regularly with your tandem partner (depending on the arrangement)
  • You accompany your tandem when they arrive in their new apartment and support them with topics such as finding furniture, internet contract, insurance or clarifying the rental contract
  • Empowerment! You support and encourage your tandem partner to find solutions on their own and to arrive in Frankfurt
