About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for women of all ages and backgrounds who are willing to share their time and knowledge with other women. We would like to accompany and support women who are new to Berlin, want to learn German and discover the city through tandems. If you would like to make friends with women and help them get used to Germany, a tandem is just right for you.
Tandems are a wonderful opportunity for women to support each other and learn new things together. We believe that women are stronger together and want to provide a platform where women can exchange ideas, practice German, explore the city and learn from each other.
Your Tasks
- Regular meetings with a tandem partner.
- You support a woman in improving her language skills.
- You do things together and discover new things of Berlin.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- Openness and willingness to engage in a new experience
- Joy and fun in contact with other women
- Interest in exchange with people from different cultural backgrounds
Time required
The tandems decide independently how often they want to meet and when they meet.
Important notice
As part of our volunteer group, you will have the opportunity to network and participate in various workshops, sharing sessions, seminars and activities. Also, through our collaborative partners and our network, we can find tickets, discounts, advice, and...and...for your commitment.
Where?
Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. Berlin
"...because proximity counts" is the guiding principle that drives us to provide help where it is needed. In Berlin, we are there where we are needed with over 1,000 volunteers, and throughout Germany with over 52,000 volunteers: in disaster control, in integration, for lonely, elderly and sick people, for children and young people, for the dying and the grieving.
