About the volunteering opportunity
Almost all shared accommodation centers for refugees are looking for language mediators or companions for the residents.
If you have time during the day and can speak either English or German + one of the following languages: Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Georgian, Kurdish, Farsi, Arabic, Vietnamese, French (and probably many others), then you can definitely support the refugees during their appointments.

Your Tasks
As a volunteer, you would help to translate between the doctors/administrative workers and the refugees themselves. You could also ensure that flyers and documents are translated correctly.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
At least B2 German or English + at least B2 in Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Georgian, Kurdish, Farsi, Vietnamese, French or another language spoken by refugees here in Berlin.
Time required
The appointments are mainly between 9am and 5pm.
