About the volunteering opportunity
The children's club is the multicultural childcare facility at the Leonorenstraße shared accommodation. It is currently run by Petra alone. We want to build up a small team. During the vacations there are up to 15 children in the children's club. During school times, there are about 5 (sometimes more if school is canceled or the daycare teachers are sick). The children are currently between 3 and 12 years old.
Your Tasks
We are looking for committed people who are used to working independently. Imaginable offers are: Handicrafts, painting, sports and other creative ideas. We would also be happy to accompany you on excursions of any kind.
What's needed
Empathetic approach to children and other people. Experience in childcare (by arrangement, independent people without experience in childcare are also welcome). Since it is important for the children to be able to build trust with the caregivers, you should be reliable, able to work in a team, punctual and interested in a longer commitment.
Time required
The children's club is currently open from approx. 09:00 to 14:00. We would like to extend the opening hours (also on weekends by arrangement).
Important notice
The GU is located in Lankwitz bus stop "Stadtbad Lankwitz", so the longer journey may have to be taken into account.
