About the volunteering opportunity
We would like to open a bicycle workshop in the Askanierring reception center. We are looking for committed volunteers to help us plan, set up, open and help shape this workshop from the outset.
Your Tasks
- Co-founding and designing a bicycle workshop
- Repair bicycles and other items (e.g. baby carriages).
What's needed
Enjoy repairing bicycles. Languages such as Turkish, Arabic, Persian or Russian are an advantage, but not a requirement.
What to bring
[For people born after 1969] Vaccination certificate / proof of immunization against measles - it is very helpful, but can also be brought along later.

Important notice
What is required:- Extended certificate of good conduct (free of charge for volunteers; we can take care of the application on request).
- Proof of immunization against measles (for people born after 1969).

The facility in Askanierring is a first accommodation for refugees who are new in Berlin. Temporary accommodation can accommodate up to 250 people of all ages and from different countries of origin.
