About the volunteering opportunity

Housing First gets homeless people in Stuttgart back into permanent tenancies.

We look for apartments for homeless people in Stuttgart. We work on the principle that housing is a human right that does not have to be earned. Our professional team supports tenants in all matters relating to moving in and all issues that arise during the tenancy. We offer landlords a contact person for all tenancy matters, a rent loss guarantee and, if necessary, rapid intervention to ensure that the housing is maintained in the long term.

For our project, we are always looking for landlords who are willing to rent their apartments to our project participants. In addition to social work, one component of the project is therefore real estate acquisition and public relations work in order to reach people who own housing. It is also important to us to bring the issue of housing shortages to the attention of society!

Your Tasks

Poster design: after a small campaign in the subways in 2023 (see pictures), we would now like to start a poster campaign in the Stuttgart area to make the issue of housing shortage, which is increasingly moving to the center of society, visible! For this we would like an A1 poster with an artistic and creative kick, which we can then have printed and put up. We would be very happy if creative minds with design knowledge and appropriate skills in graphic design would support us!

We are looking for apartments for homeless people from Stuttgart. In doing so, we start from the principle that housing is a human right that you do not have to earn. Our professional team supports the tenants with all questions around the move-in & with all matters that arise in the current tenancy. We offer landlords a contact person for all rental matters, a rent default guarantee & if necessary, rapid intervention, so that the housing is maintained in the long term.

For our project, we are looking for helping hands with move-ins such as help with painting or wallpapering, help with moving and furnishing the apartment.
