About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for one or more janitors for our four Help Stores. In our Help Stores, Hanseatic Help provides those in need with clothing and other donations in kind directly through our own permanent distribution facilities. We need on-site support for the maintenance and upkeep of our areas.
Your Tasks
- Care and maintenance of the facilities/outdoor areas (incl. minor repairs, plumbing and electrical work)
- Inventory and maintenance of furnishings and storage facilities
- Checking the safety-relevant specifications
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
- German language skills
- manual dexterity
- physically resilient
- Class B driving license
- ability to work independently
- Diligence, reliability, ability to work in a team, friendliness and patience
- Willingness to communicate and interact socially, including with people from different backgrounds

On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
We expect approximately 4 hours per store/per week
Important notice
We are looking for a janitor for all four Help Stores. One person can be responsible for one or more Help Stores and take on the tasks. Volunteers do not have to work on all Help Stores on their own. We are also happy if you can only find time for one store.The Help Stores are located here:
