About the volunteering opportunity
The drought is a real challenge for our seedlings at the Rieselfelder site in Bucher Forst. There is little protection from older trees, the soil is dry and stores rainfall poorly, and there is competition for water from grass and weeds. This is why we want to support the growth of the plantations there through stock maintenance campaigns.
Your Tasks
Watering and tending (weeding).
Every 14 days on Wednesday afternoons, depending on the weather conditions, committed volunteers from the north of Berlin meet for this purpose. Join us and enjoy a supportive day in nature for nature!
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
What to bring
- There are no catering facilities on site: Pack enough water and food
- Sturdy shoes and long pants are advisable
(because of ticks and undergrowth) - DON'T FORGET: anti-mosquito spray and sun protection
- Note for allergy sufferers: there are wasps on site
- You don't need to bring anything, but your own watering can and gloves are always welcome
- Children are welcome
- Please keep dogs on a lead at all times
