About the volunteering opportunity

Our voluntary PROVIEH regional group in Dresden draws attention to the abuses in industrial "farm" animal husbandry and gives "farm" animals a voice.
As part of the regional group, you can work with others to organize information stands and provide information on how consumers can campaign for better living conditions for farmed animals. You can take part in demonstrations and plan high-profile events to draw attention to the issue of "farmed" animal welfare.
PROVIEH is committed to species-appropriate "farm" animal husbandry - we look forward to your support!

Your Tasks

  • Organization and supervision of information stands (at festivals, markets, Christmas markets, events, trade fairs) and high-profile campaigns (vigils, demos, days of action)
  • Participation in demonstrations
  • Co-organization of exchange meetings, possibly farm visits

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
As you will be interacting a lot with people at our information stands and campaigns, a communicative, open-minded and outgoing personality is an advantage. You can also support our group, if you are interested in organization, planning and coordination. Previous knowledge in the field of "farm" animal welfare is helpful, but not essential - you will learn a lot about the topic through the exchange with the other regional group members.

Where?

PROVIEH e.V.

PROVIEH e.V., the association for "farm" animal welfare, campaigns for species-appropriate and appreciative animal husbandry in agriculture and fights against cruel husbandry conditions and the treatment of animals as mere production units. PROVIEH demands that husbandry be geared to the needs of "farm" animals instead of making adjustments to the animal.
