Getting active for the protection of "farm" animals in Cologne

We at PROVIEH have been campaigning for species-appropriate, ecologically sound and respectful husbandry of so-called farm animals for 50 years and are committed to small-scale farming. Because a better life for pigs, cattle, chickens and the like is not only good for the animals, but also for people and the environment.
In order to carry out campaigns in Cologne and the surrounding area, we are looking for fellow campaigners who would like to become active for the protection of farm animals. We need help with the planning and supervision of information stands and with the organization of campaigns that educate people about industrial "farm" animal husbandry.

Your Tasks

There is currently no regional group in Cologne. But you can also make a difference as an individual. Displaying flyers, organizing an information table and taking part in demonstrations, for example, are ways of supporting our work for better conditions for farm animals even without a group. We would be happy to help you with these activities and provide you with the necessary materials.

What's needed

An interest in organizing and planning smaller campaigns is useful.
As you will be interacting with people at the information stand and during campaigns, a communicative, open-minded and outgoing personality is an advantage.
Previous knowledge in the field of animal welfare is helpful, but not essential.
We always offer smaller training courses for our volunteers and in case of doubt you can always refer to our full-time employees.

PROVIEH e.V., the association for "farm" animal welfare, campaigns for species-appropriate and appreciative animal husbandry in agriculture and fights against cruel husbandry conditions and the treatment of animals as mere production units. PROVIEH demands that husbandry be geared to the needs of "farm" animals instead of making adjustments to the animal.
