Mobility assistants for offers at the senior center in Friedrichshain

The comfortably furnished center on the first floor of the retirement home is a popular meeting place for older people. The conservatory café and chat room in Friedrichshain's Singerstrasse are the venue for regular events and activities such as singing, sport and exercise, culture and lectures. To enable more older and often lonely people with impaired mobility to take advantage of these offers, we are looking for people to help support them.

Your Tasks

If you would like to get involved, your tasks will include

• once a week, drop off and pick up people with walking difficulties from the neighborhood to the senior center
• Facilitate participation
• ensuring a friendly, good atmosphere
• Listening to the needs and questions of the seniors and passing them on to the staff coordinator if necessary

What's needed

For your commitment you need:

• Joy and fun and interest in being together with older people
• Ability to support people in a wheelchair or on a rollator
