About the volunteering opportunity
We are working on a rescue balloon system for disaster relief. The hovering rescue system is intended to introduce lighter-than-air technology into rescue aid and create transport capacities for bridging unstable terrain in the event of a disaster. Thanks to its innovative design, it can lift heavy pieces of rubble after an earthquake, for example, and transport them away. The balloon can also provide lighting for rescue teams or transport relief supplies. A complementary unit for rescuing people in hard-to-reach areas is currently under development. The aim is to make the balloon system available as part of an equipment pool for rescue organizations so that additional transport capacity for relief supplies is quickly available in the event of a disaster. The entire equipment can be transported to the scene of an emergency on a normal car trailer.

You can get involved with us on the planned training weekends and also on Fridays.

Anyone can register with us, but due to the accommodation costs we are particularly looking for people from Hamburg and the surrounding area.
