Accompanying refugees from Tegel to the doctor, social welfare office or job center

Would you like to take on a supportive role in the community and make new friends? We are looking for volunteers to help refugees living in Tegel to feel safe and comfortable outside their accommodation.

About the offer:

As a volunteer companion, you will support people who find it difficult to go out on their own for various reasons, such as a lack of local knowledge, older age or physical impairments. Your task depends on when you have time to provide company and accompany them to important appointments such as doctor's visits and other relevant organizations (social welfare office/job center). It could be a one-off activity or a regular offer. We would appreciate any help. This not only offers the opportunity to provide practical help, but also to promote interpersonal relationships and deepen cultural understanding. Skills and requirements:

Openness and empathy

Good knowledge of German

Interest in new experiences

Specific requirements:

No driving license required

Extended certificate of good conduct required

No health certificate required
