About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for active support for our trips to VfL Wolfsburg home games!
We have had 3 season tickets in the wheelchair area of the VW Arena for several years. Together, we take residents in need of care from the AWO residential and nursing home in Goethestraße to the stadium and back again after the final whistle.

Your Tasks
Your tasks are:
- help the residents onto the bus before departure from the AWO residential and nursing home
- drive the bus (not a must, but would be nice if someone could do this)
- after arriving at the stadium, take the residents in wheelchairs to their seats
- after the final whistle, take everyone back to the bus and back to the facility
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
In any case, you should be sociable, enjoy talking to older people and, above all, have fun and enthusiasm for VfL Wolfsburg.
Time required
We travel to all VfL Wolfsburg home games. The time frame therefore depends heavily on the Bundesliga schedule. Sometimes the games are on Saturday, sometimes on Sunday or even Friday evening. But you don't have to be at every game.
As a rule, we leave about 1 hour before kick-off and return 1 hour after the final whistle. Of course, this can vary greatly depending on how busy the streets and the stadium are on the day.

Where?
AWO Wohn- und Pflegeheim "Goethestraße" Wolfsburg
In the AWO residential and nursing home Goethestraße, we want to create a personal living space for the residents, maintain as much independence as possible and thus enable a largely individual lifestyle.
In addition to individual care, group offers and seasonal festivals, there is also cooperation with daycare centers and schools.
For supporters of VfL Wolfsburg, the fan club "Goethe-Wölfe" has a variety of activities ready, such as trips to home games, watching the away games together, and occasional contact with players.
