About the volunteering opportunity
Our therapeutic shared flat (TWG) in Lehrter Straße (Berlin Mitte) is looking for a committed leisure companion to play guitar 1-2 times a week with Mr. H., a 21-year-old resident with a mental illness. Mr. H. can already play the guitar well and practices diligently, but would like more input and competent support. Unfortunately, a music school is out of the question due to the costs.
The TWG offers mentally ill people a temporary or long-term home. Supported by our trained staff and the community, we enable residents to lead a largely self-determined life. Practical everyday skills and social behavior are practiced and consolidated.
Your Tasks
- Regular visits 1-2 times a week to play guitar together with Mr. H.
- Support and input in playing the guitar to help Mr. H. progress.
- Creating a motivating and supportive environment for Mr. H.
