About the volunteering opportunity
open.med Munich comprises a medical contact point and a treatment bus as a mobile service for people without health insurance. In addition to general medical consultations, the drop-in center also offers specialist consultations for children, women and people with chronic and mental illnesses. The medical consultations and outreaches are coordinated by full-time volunteer doctors, supported by interpreters and medical students. As part of the social counseling, we (the full-time team) help with (re-)integration into the health insurance and refer further questions to the Munich counseling and support network.
We are now looking for gynecologists and midwives to support our women's consultation team. The main task is to carry out women's consultations, with a focus on preventive examinations for pregnant patients.
Our women's consultation is always held on the second and fourth Thursday of the month, from 9:00 am to approx. 02:00 pm, at our contact point at Dachauer Straße 161, 80636 Munich.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
- You are a gynecologist or midwife
- You are willing to volunteer about once a month
- You enjoy working in a team and identify with the values of Ärzte der Welt e.V.
- You have a high degree of empathy and sensitivity towards people in precarious situations and vulnerable groups
