About the volunteering opportunity
It is about a short-term commitment in an anchor facility of the government of Upper Bavaria. Refugees who do not yet have a German course can practise a little German with the help of volunteers.
Your Tasks
They are either single refugees with or without a baby or even a married couple or a family. There are illiterate people who are just starting out, some who are still waiting for a German course and others who are already attending a German course but need extra help.
The volunteers can decide for themselves what they want to get involved with. However, all of them are short-term commitments of initially 3 months with the possibility of extension.
You meet with the refugee once a week and learn German together.

"Die Innere Mission" helps people with a migration background. Whether as first aid for refugees and asylum seekers or through useful offers for migrants already living in Munich with permanent residence. The employees of our social and migration services often know the challenges from their own experience. They know where to start in order to begin a new life in a foreign country.
