About the volunteering opportunity

The self-help groups, we call them Other Burnout Cafés (ABCs), are solution-oriented self-help groups, i.e. they have a special aspect: we enable the participants to have a topic-centered self-awareness. Each evening has a special theme. See also ww.bvbud.de or our page http://anderes-burnout-cafe.de.

Your task is the (co-)moderation of the meetings. To do this, we support you with event notes and with guides for the events, each of which introduces the topic and describes the exercises. This will significantly shorten your preparation time. If you can contribute additional exercises, that would be great.

Your involvement will increase your competence and broaden your coaching experience.

If you are or have been affected by burnout and depression, your involvement will help you in your development.

Your Tasks

Other Burnout Cafés are currently led by a moderator. You should be interested in preparing, conducting and following up on the meetings together. There are also a few organizational tasks.

Where?

Bundesverband Burnout und Depression e.V.

The German IFGL e.V. association founds and organises ABC - Andere Burnout Cafés (other burnout cafés) throughout Germany. Through the ABCs IFGL e.V. primarily supports people affected by and at risk for stress-induced diseases. In addition, IFGL e.V. supports companies in their activities to build up and maintain a healthy working environment. The association helps those affected, those at risk and their relatives by providing information, advice, training and coaching. It gives advice on therapeutic, social and medical support and tries to educate companies, the public and politicians and to raise awareness of this topic. In addition, the focus is on strengthening the cooperation between those affected and the companies and helping them to help themselves by founding local ABCs. So far 50 members nationwide have committed themselves to support the goals of IfGL.
