About the volunteering opportunity
An offer of the AWO Family Center at Fennpfuhl (Lichtenberg):
The family center is located as a facility in the "Haus der Begegnung", which also houses the AWO children's and youth club "Judith Auer" and the "Stadtteilmütter" and "Elternbegleitung" projects. It sees itself as a place of encounter, tolerance, appreciation and education. Our main target group is families, especially those with children aged 0 to 6. But older siblings, (grand)parents and other people from the neighborhood are also welcome!
Here you can get in touch with others, relax, laugh and be creative. You can learn new things or teach others. We have a varied monthly program with recurring offers. Become part of our team and help shape the family center! We look forward to meeting you.

Your Tasks
We, the AWO Family Center at Fennpfuhl (Lichtenberg), are looking forward to people who can regularly offer childcare on site on Fridays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm . A sports course for mothers takes place at this time. We would like to set up on-site childcare so that single parents or mothers who do not have childcare facilities for their child at this time can also participate. The children to be cared for are aged 0-6 years. A playroom or exercise room with play equipment and a garden are available.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Ideally, you have experience in working with children or a pedagogical qualification. B1 level should be available, but it can also vary individually

Approx. 1 hour per week.
On weekdays, at night
Fridays from 05:30 pm to 06:30 pm
If the times of the sports course are inconvenient, we can try to talk to the course instructor about moving it to the morning.
