Institute for Sound & Music e.V.
The Institute for Sound and Music is a community driven initiative with the long term goal to establish a permanent museum in Berlin, dedicated to sound, art and electronic music culture. In order to bridge a gap in the current art and cultural landscape, where the medium of sound is under appreciated as an art form, ISM proposes the development of a space especially designed and built for nurturing the disciplines of sound and electronic music.
The ISM Hexadome is an immersive Sound & 360° Visual Exhibition running at Martin-Gropius-Bau from 29 March until 22 April, 2018 in Berlin. The ISM Hexadome comprises of 6 screens arranged in a hexagonal dome structure with advanced laser projectors in synchronisation with a 52 channel spatial speaker system.
The line up includes installations and performances from world renowned artists such as Brian Eno, Tarik Barri & Thom Yorke, Holly Herndon & Mathew Dryhurst, Frank Bretschneider & Pierce Warnecke, Lara Sarkissian & Jemma Woolmore, Ben Frost & MFO
Peter Van Hoesen & Heleen Blanken, CAO & Michael Tan and Pfadfinderei & René Löwe.
