Hause Nü promotes

The mission is to increase the quality of life through fostering the competence and creativity of individuals. The Hause Nü aims to offer space for an intercultural dialog.
The goal is to inspire a sense of self reliance by introducing face-to-face productions that will help individuals reduce their reliance upon over extended and expensive supply chains.
Hause Nü works on a new approach of social textile design.
In October 2015 we started a workshop in cooperation with the NGO "NCCD" in Nam Dinh, Vietnam, where we worked with women from deprived neighbourhoods in the rural area.
Many of these women lost their jobs after salt manufactures in Nam Dinh had to close down due to effects caused by climate change. The workshop gives them a new opportunity to work and learn in a fair and sustainable environment, with the aim to support an independent and self-contained living situation.
For this purpose Nü designed a product (a plain timeless bag pack) which will be the basis of the workshop. It is easy to learn and generates almost no waste during the manufacturing process.
