We’re a small non-profit association running Squirrel News, a free, curated app (+ newsletter) for solutions-focused news (squirrel-news.net). Three times per week we collect and present the most important and most interesting stories about new solutions to the world’s biggest problems.

At the moment, we’re looking for another volunteer editor on our English edition (most of as work as volunteers so far).
Squirrel News is based in Berlin, but we work remotely. If you're based in Europe that would be ideal, as we'd work within similar time zones. But if not, we can also find a way.

Deine Aufgaben
You would be responsible for one issue per week (about 5 hours) and
- browse the media landscape and identify relevant stories on solutions and progress in all spheres of society
- participate in our editorial discussion about selection and order
- rewrite headlines and teasers
- upload the editions.
Kompetenzen und Voraussetzungen
Du benötigst für dieses Engagementangebot keine Deutschkenntnisse.
We are looking for a native English speaker with professional experience in journalism / news editing and a broad general education.
Zeitaufwand
Regelmäßig
Ca. 5 Stunden pro Woche.

Wir sind ein kleiner, gemeinnütziger Verein mit Sitz in Berlin, gegründet im Herbst 2019. Mit Squirrel News (squirrel-news.de) haben wir im Sommer 2020 einen neuen, internationalen Nachrichtenservice gestartet: kostenlos, kuratiert / handverlesen, lösungsorientiert und gemeinnützig.
