About the volunteering opportunity
The guiding principle of the 'Cycling without age' concept (https://radelnohnealter.de/) is that life can and should still be full of joy and adventure even in old age. This is why rickshaw rides are undertaken on a voluntary basis with residents of retirement and nursing homes. The target group also includes other people who are restricted in their movement. In line with the motto "Everyone has a right to the wind in their hair", senior citizens can go on trips into the city, into the countryside or to the water, visit places from their past or go to the cemetery or church events.
In Bremen, the association Ambulante Versorgungsbrücken e.V. implements the concept of 'cycling without age' and offers rickshaw rides lasting one to two hours. The rickshaws available for this purpose - one with electric assistance and one without - are specially designed to ensure a safe and comfortable ride.
Your Tasks
Take residents from retirement and nursing homes on a ride through the city or into the countryside
If you would like to make a gift of your time, become a pilot with Cycling without Age (RoA). You can really make a difference here. You'll meet nice people, become part of the RoA community and do something for your fitness - for free. You arrange your own tour exactly when you have time. There are no fixed dates. At the beginning of the tour, you decide together where you want to go, whether through the city, to the Weser, to the Bürgerpark or to places of remembrance.

We look forward to seeing you!
As soon as you have registered with us, we will invite you to our regulars' table. There you will get to know the team and other pilots and have the opportunity to ask questions. If you would like to join us after the meeting, we can organize individual rickshaw driving training, for example. You will then get to know all the procedures.
