Get active and support "Warm through the night" Stuttgart

We would like to develop a low-threshold service for people without shelter or a permanent residence in Stuttgart. There is already established help with fixed locations such as the Olga46 day center, the Frauenpension and the Franziskusstube. Nevertheless, many homeless people spend their time on the streets of Stuttgart. It is particularly cold there in winter and increasingly difficult for people.

This is exactly where we want to reach people with the "Warm through the night" campaign! Many cities such as Essen, Dortmund, Nuremberg and Berlin already have well-established and well-received Warm through the Night offers.

In cooperation with Trott-war e.V. and committed volunteers from youngcaritas, we want to walk the streets of Stuttgart. With coffee, tea and much more in our luggage, we want to give these people not only a little joy, but also dignity and sympathy. We offer dialog and an open ear for the people affected and can draw attention to established help. We also receive further support from the Stuttgart FairKauf.

As a volunteer, you will support this campaign from planning to implementation. We walk through the city together and offer our services to affected people in an informal way.

As a volunteer, you should of course be an open and communicative person who is interested in the project.

You should also be aware that we meet people who are living in absolute hardship and that this can be emotionally stressful. As a volunteer, you should therefore be resilient, empathetic and tolerant towards people in this situation. You also need to be flexible in terms of time, as the campaign runs from afternoon to evening and the actual end time is difficult to predict.

A minimum age of 16 is also required to start.
