"Digital Coaches" - young people lead digital consultations for senior citizens

Are you a digital native? Are you familiar with smartphones, the internet and the like, or do you know how to research information about that? Would you like to volunteer to help senior citizens?

In our "Digital Coach" project, we work with young people up to 21, in exceptional cases up to 27, and enable them to lead their own digital consultation hours for seniors. These consultation hours take place several days a week in the afternoon (usually from 4-6 p.m.) and are supervised by a full-time staff member from our association. The aim is to enable older people to participate (digitally) and create an intergenerational exchange. We are currently looking for people who are interested in long-term voluntary work, particularly in the Lichtenberg district.

- You answer questions from older people about smartphones, the internet and co.
- You help older people to participate digitally
- As a "digital native", you explain digital content to visitors in an age-appropriate and needs-based way

- intermediate knowledge of German is an advantage in order to be able to communicate well with the seniors
- "Digital native" skills, i.e. you are good with digital tools or know how to research and find out important information about them
- Interest in working with seniors

We currently have 6 ongoing digital consultation hours at various locations in Berlin. All consultation hours take place in the afternoon between 4 and 6 pm. We are currently looking for young coaches, especially for our consultation hours in Lichtenberg.

The volunteer work is additionally remunerated with a volunteer allowance of €10 per assignment
