About the volunteering opportunity
It's almost a beloved tradition: baking cookies! When it's cold and uncomfortable outside and the days get shorter and shorter, we like to slide together in a warm kitchen. Then we take out our bicycle sting moulds, let the year pass in review and spin new ideas/networks.
Your Tasks
We want to bake cookies together. Come along and help us knead the dough, roll it and turn out the tins. We want to spend a cozy afternoon together, have fun and get to know each other.
If you have the capacity, you are welcome to bring a ready-made cake dough to work with. Then it will go faster and we'll have more time to nibble on cookies ;-)

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
You have fun baking cookies and like to get in touch with new people? Then you've come to the right place. :)
What to bring
We bring some baking ingredients with us and can spread out in the beautiful kitchen of the Haus der Nachbarschafft.
You are very welcome to help us with baking and snacking ;-) If you have the capacity, you are welcome to bring a ready-made cake dough with you.

#BIKEYGEES e.V. offers free cycling lessons for (refugee) women and girls (aged 16 and over).
In addition to practical cycling training, we give traffic lessons in various languages and teach the basics of maintaining and repairing your own bike.
We started in September 2015 as a small empowerment project and have been recognized as a non-profit association for educational and integration work since May 2016. Our training courses create immediately visible and sustainable changes in the lives of the participants.

So far, we have got more than 2.000 women/girls on bikes for free and handed over around 650 bike sets as donations. (as of Sep. 2025)
