We are looking for creative and motivated volunteers to support our media team and help make the story of our organization and community events visible.
Our aim is to communicate our activities in an engaging way and reach more people who might want to join us, attend events, or support our work.
Volunteers help us create content and develop ideas for how to present our work and events to the public.
We are looking for people with different interests and skills, for example:
- People interested in social media content (especially Instagram and YouTube)
- People who enjoy taking photos or short videos at events
- People who like editing videos, reels, or visual content
- People who enjoy writing short texts, captions, or event summaries
- People interested in developing ideas for communication and media strategy
Volunteers can get involved in one or more of these areas, depending on their interests and skills.
Your Tasks
Job Description
Volunteers can support the media team with various tasks, for example:
- Creating photo and video material at events
- Editing videos, reels, and visual content
- Writing captions, short texts, or event highlights
- Developing ideas for storytelling and content formats
- Participating in discussions about communication and media strategy
- Preparing content that will later be published by the core team
This volunteer role is particularly suited to people who enjoy storytelling, creativity, and digital communication, and who want to help make community initiatives more visible.
Key qualities include reliability, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate with the team over an extended period.

Über den Tellerrand kochen München e.V. ("cooking outside the box") promotes the personal exchange between people of different cultural backgrounds. In cooking events both get to know each other on eye level which actively shapes a sustainable and successful integration process. How exactly does this work? We organize events in which 20-30 participants with and without refugee experience cook and eat together. Usually we cook traditional dishes from the home countries of the refugee participants, who can share something about their culture. The events are organized by volunteers of our community and financed by donations and funding from the city of Munich. By involving both refugees and locals in the organization of the events, we motivate both sides to jointly shape the integration process. This promotes intercultural competences and enables social and cultural participation for refugees.
