About the volunteering opportunity
In the project, 10-15 participants in a diverse group discuss topics relating to discrimination and racism. Group meetings, where topics are discussed objectively and participants learn with and from each other, alternate with empowerment coaching sessions for the whole group: a professional coach supports the participants in learning about ways of dealing with their own experiences of discrimination or those they have observed.
The project aims to promote empowerment, resilience, the ability to act and civil courage among the participants. The project content encourages self-reflection and strengthens the empathy and self-esteem of those affected by discrimination. The project makes it possible to experience an open culture of discussion, strengthens intercultural skills and teaches discrimination-sensitive language.
